Adopt

There is a THREE-DAY stray hold on all animals that enter our shelter as strays.

Owner surrenders are available for adoption/rescue immediately.

If you see a dog/cat on stray hold that you are interested in adopting, you must come to the shelter during normal business hours to PRE-ADOPT. This DOES NOT GUARANTEE that you will get this stray, as the owner has 3 days to reclaim.

*** First person to complete the appropriate Pre-Adoption steps,

will be the one adopting the dog/cat after stray hold.
**Facebook comments do not count.
**Medical cases are subject to IMMEDIATE rescue regardless of stray hold.

OUR GOAL IS TO GET EVERY DOG & CAT OUT OF THE SHELTER

ALIVE THROUGH ADOPTION OR RESCUE.

ADOPTION FEE is $90 for Dogs and $65 for cats.

Adoption fee includes basic spay/neuter, standard vaccinations, and a microchip for your pet with services provided by 24 Hour Petwatch.

Adoption for Seniors

CTSAC has a program called Pets for Seniors. If you are a senior, age 60 or older, then you can qualify for this program.

Pets for Seniors offers adoption assistance for seniors.

Adult dogs and cats at least six years of age qualify to be adopted through this program. Studies have shown that owning a pet can lower your blood pressure, relieve depression and anxiety, and improve your health and outlook on life.

If you are interested in this program and you qualify,

please come see us.

The shelter offers dog adoptions for $50 and cat adoptions

for $25 for seniors adopting a qualifying pet.
